Bombers, gunmen kill 153 in Iraq

Insurgents launched more than a dozen suicide bombings, assassinations and execution-style killings in Iraq today, killing at least 153 people and wounding more than 300. Al Qaeda in Iraq, a group led by militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, apparently has said it is responsible, saying the attacks are in retaliation for the U.S.-Iraqi offensive in the northern city of Tal Afar.
