Bush sends 7,000 troops to aid Katrina relief

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush on Saturday ordered the deployment of 7,000 additional U.S. troops to help desperate survivors of Hurricane Katrina as he acknowledged the initial federal effort had fallen short.
