Police: No forced evacuations

New Orleans residents who have remained in their homes will not be forced to leave, police announced Sunday. That word followed Lt. Gen Russel Honore's prediction that Hurricane Katrina's death toll in the city will be "a heck of a lot lower" than than the mayor's recent estimate. And President Bush is expected to view progress in the city.
