Dear God,
Please pour your spirit
upon this conflict.
Awaken all hearts
and make sane all minds.
Please blanket our world
in blessing and protection,
that fear and violence may not enter here.
In New York and Washington,
Baghdad and Gaza,
may miracles cast away the darkness.
