Putting two and two together
If you hate the pop-ups and swear you'll never put them on your site, think again. ;-) I put here several words on why and how you could use them.
Now just 2 ideas:
- to use Zeigarnik effect (still didn't read Mark's course?), we could think in advance, what we're going to put in the next issue of our newsletter (not all, of course, but a little part of it) and at the end of the issue we're sending now, to use Zeigarnik effect and tell people something that might arise their curiosity, so that they'll want to get the next issue asap.
Seems to be simple, but till now I saw only Ken McCarthy using it and only in one of his autoresponders. Pity, huh? - putting Zeigarnik effect and pop-ups together, another idea: announcing of the coming issue of the newsletter on pop-ups. This way they'll not be as boring and annoying as they used to.
This technique I didn't see anyone to be using. Let's try?
