Ophelia hammers N.C. coast

North Carolina residents are being warned they should brace themselves for a prolonged, powerful storm as Hurricane Ophelia stomps along the coast. A storm surge of up to 9 feet could travel up rivers. The slow moving storm also could soak some areas with up to a foot of rain over 36 hours. "This one is getting worse as we go forward," North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley warned.
